Dishonesty
Dishonesty from the police, especially from internal investigations, is significant and
absolutely unnacceptable. This issue is not even remotely addressed, and remains a constant and annoying topic in
our collective conscience. We leave it up to the Government to assure us an honest, respectful representation from those
investigations, and even with civilian oversight, there is obvious favouritism and hence, the need for
us to be scrupulous. It is sad testimony about our society. And we all ultimately pay for it, through emotional pain, resentment
and ofcourse, our taxes.

Excessive Force A law enforcement officer has the right to use such force as is reasonably necessary under the circumstances to make
a lawful arrest. An unreasonable seizure occurs when a law enforcement officer uses excessive force in making a lawful
arrest. Whether force is reasonably necessary or excessive is measured by the force a reasonable and prudent law enforcement
officer would use under the circumstances. (Lectric Law Library)
Assault and Battery Assault is the threat of bodily
harm that reasonably causes fear of harm in the victim. Battery is the actual physical attack on another person. If the victim
has been touched by the person committing the crime, this might be battery. If the victim has not actually been touched, but
only threatened, then the crime is assault.
Torture Torture is the act of inflicting excrutiating pain, as punishment or
revenge, as a means of getting a confession or information, or for sheer cruelty. (Random House Unabridged
Dictionary)
Verbal Abuse Also called Reviling. Is
a form of abusive behavior involving the use of language. It is a form of profanity in that it can occur with or without
the use of expletives. (Wikipedia)
"Hey, listen up you little puke. I laid a few punches on ya. So what? So if you
don't stop your cryin', I'll give you a beating so bad you'll never recover, got that?"
